Learning Circles

Schools

Learning Circles for schools are designed to help students build a stronger understanding of Indigenous history, culture, and lived experiences in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

These sessions create a safe space for young people to learn, ask questions, and reflect, helping to build respect, awareness, and connection.

Through storytelling, conversation, and shared learning, students develop a deeper understanding of the past and how it shapes the present, encouraging empathy and a more inclusive mindset.

Learning Circles support students to not only learn history, but to understand its impact and their role in creating a more respectful and connected future.

Outcomes for students:

  • Increased understanding of Indigenous history and culture

  • Greater empathy and respect for diverse experiences

  • Improved confidence to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations

  • Stronger sense of inclusion and connection

  • Awareness of how history impacts communities today

Organisations

Learning Circles for organisations are designed to build cultural understanding, awareness, and also confidence when working with Indigenous communities and at-risk youth. These tailored sessions provide a safe and respectful space to explore important topics such as Indigenous history, the Stolen Generations, intergenerational trauma, breaking down barriers and the realities of working with at-risk and Indigenous young people.

Through guided conversations, participants gain practical insight into how these experiences impact individuals and communities today, and how to respond in a more culturally safe, informed, and meaningful way, empowering them to become strong allies.

Our approach is interactive and discussion-based, encouraging reflection, open dialogue, and real understanding, rather than traditional training.

Outcomes

  • Increased cultural awareness and understanding

  • Greater confidence when working with Indigenous communities

  • Improved engagement with at-risk youth

  • Stronger, more culturally safe practices

Learning Circles are ideal for:
